Advocate Care LLC is Hiring a Social Services Director Near Portland, OR
Social Services Director needed in 32 bed residential care for younger disabled approx. average age of 55 with TBI, complex medical and behavioral needs.
Advocate Care LLC is a unique facility set up for younger disabled clients who are physically or mentally disabled. You will learn skills to deal with behaviors more appropriately and redirection techniques. The clients here vary in age from 18-65 with most being in the 30 to 50 age range. We encourage teamwork and strive for a friendly encouraging environment for our clients and workers.
$1000 sign on bonus after 90 days.
Job Summary:
SSD is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the overall day-to-day functionality of the social services department in order to meet as many of the social and emotional needs of the residents as possible. Is a lead on resident rep payee bill pay and contact with Social Security Administration regarding financial benefits.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Leadership experience
- Experience in community based care with emphasis in Recreational/ Social activities preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral directions in English.
- Ability to lead and motivate people.
- Creative and artistic.
- Current Oregon drivers license.
- Must be able to do any combination of the following activities for two hours without a break: stand, sit, walk and/or run as required by resident behavior; bend and twist; lift and move objects in excess of 100 lbs.; must be able to lift/transfer dependent residents; must be able to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.
- Must be able to endure the stress of managing difficult, sometimes assault residents.
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check as required by Oregon ALF Regulations.
- Must be 25 years old and have a good driving record.
